Several years ago, which when reasoned, should span over 2000 years ago, the redemption plan of God to save humankind from the slavery and bondage man put themselves into was accomplished. It all started with the birth of the Saviour, Jesus and ultimately ended with His death.

The end of this era, marked the beginning of a new era which is the reason for the celebration of this season. It gave to a remnant of people the good news they were charged to share far and wide, even unto the uttermost parts of the earth.

Our correspondents from CACSO matched with the evangelism train, first, to witness Christ to others and also, to celebrate the season with loved ones and persons deprived in one form or the other.

Reporting from the Female Correctional Centre, Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos; gathered at the correctional facility were several groups from the Christian community with the goal to show love to detained persons – of which many still await trial.

Christ was introduced to them with many of the inmates accepting the offer of Jesus Christ in bidding all to “Come unto me, all you that are heavily laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28)”.

Romans 8:18 was the passage of the scriptures used for ministration to the inmates. It was clear from this scripture that the Lord Jesus Christ is the hope of glory. The signal of joy and enthusiasm from them showed that all their hopes is put on Jesus.

 The evangelism team that had gathered from the church prayed together with the inmates and the love of Christ was freely shared and shown to all irrespective of their state or statu
